The Future Affair
The light from the hallway cast a glow over the two figures beside the bed, as softly as the brush of fingers along a cheek, or the resulting sigh. They stood, physically and emotionally naked; revealing their hopes, their dreams, their fears, and their scars.
From this day forward, the dodging and hiding was no longer necessary.
“Our careers are at an end,” murmured the blond, in a deep, resonant voice.
“But our life is just beginning,” replied his partner, with a gentle smile in his words.
Together, they were embarking on the most exciting affair they had ever known.
