I've been on LJ since January, so yeah, I'm relatively new. It's great to have a MFU community that's so talented, and with such a variety of points of view. Love it.
I must agree with you about the community. There is one other fandom in which I am relatively active, and I am always telling people how superior MFU fans and writers are. I am constantly amazed at the quality of the writing and art here. You're right about the different points of view, but I have also found that MFU fans are extremely protective about the accuracy and integrity of the fandom, while still being respectful and accepting of each person's different styles and perceptions. Let's face it -- we love our boys!
