*With Gundams 00, Seravee, Cherudim, and Arios all proudly stationed in Independence-1's hangar, Anew is looking at them while continuing to revise calculations on further equipment for them.  She occasionally mumbles something about "Shield bits", "0-Riser", and "GN Archer".  She's been around, it's just she's stayed mostly to herself while ( Read more... )

Hm? Oh, I didn't realize we had more Celestial Being personnel on base. I take it you just got here?

More or less, although I've still had some time to grow acquainted with everything here. I've just been preoccupied, putting the finishing touches on Arios. Considering Allelujah would have been the most difficult to bring back and would no doubt require military action, his Gundam had the least priority.

But now that the Gundam Meisters are united once again, I'm sure you'll be seeing more of me. I requested assignment here as a nurse, although I am quite familiar with the inner workings of these Gundams.

I see.

Well, I'm Kamille Bidan. I'm the pilot of the Zeta Gundam.

Nice to meet you.

If I remember reading right, you helped with the design of your Gundam. You've done a remarkable job, if I may say so.

I'd heard that Celestial Being had lent us a nurse, but it seems that we'll be seeing you around the hangar as well.

Yes, well, I do have varied interests and disciplines. After all, if they send a nurse, why not make sure it's someone who is familiar with the Gundams as well?

It'll be nice having someone who's more qualified to work on the GN Drives, at the very least.

Lt. Harry Ord, Moonrace. Pleased to meet you.

I think I've seen you around once or twice on the Ptolemy, but we've never gotten a chance to talk. I'm Lyle, or Lockon Stratos if you want to go by this ridiculous code name business.

Ah, the pilot of Cherudim, if I'm not mistaken? It's a pleasure to finally talk with you, Lyle. Unfortunately, I don't have a "ridiculous codename" myself, although "Anew Returner" might sound like one in some circles.

Nevertheless, I do hope we can work together and bring out the true power of Cherudim with a number of Bits. They won't be anything glamorous, but they will be able to protect you in a pinch if things get dicey.

Considering that we have intelligent penguins around here, I wouldn't worry about your name. Personally, I think it's a very inspiring name.

"Bits"?

They'd be similar to Funnels or Fangs, although their main purpose would just be getting in the way of beam rounds so they don't hit you instead.

When it comes to firepower, there's really only so much we can do to power up Cherudim since it's meant for sniping and one shot is all you're meant to need. The Bits will be to make sure you can get those shots off, even if nobody's there to cover you.

Anew Returner. Welcome to the Independence-1. It will be nice to have some of our own staff around for once - you came with a high recommendation from Wang Liu Mei, so I expect great things from you.

I'm sure.

Have you been down to Tokyo yet? If I guess right, you're a native spacenoid like myself Well, not quite like myself and I'm curious what you think of Earth.

Well, if I'm not mistaken, Independence-1 does have limited Boson Jump technology. Perhaps I'll see how things are like when I have free time. I'm sure it's quite lovely.

So far, Trans-AM has been the only thing that has allowed 00 to operate at acceptable levels. It's dangerous, but we don't have a choice. 00 is the best suit - and the best chance - we have against the A-LAWS.

But mechanical chatter aside... it's nice to meet you, Anew Returner. I'm Setsuna F. Seiei, pilot of the 00 Gundam, but I'm sure you've already reviewed that data pretty thoroughly.

It is a pleasure to meet you, Setsuna F. Seiei. And you are correct, I am familiar with your exploits, including a one-man war against the A-LAWS in the past year.

The fact you were able to reconstruct Gundam Exia to a working condition without drawing attention to yourself is remarkable... it's battle performance aside. And you are correct, 00 is our best chance against the A-LAWS.

But at the same time, 00 is still not finished and we're all pushing our luck every time we use it in its incomplete state.

Thankfully, we have the resources and the manpower here to finish the 0-Raiser here. All that we truly need is time and a capable pilot. Until then, do not sacrifice either our best chance or yourself, Setsuna.

So you know about that too, huh? Maybe I didn't take out those surveillance cameras fast enough... I was probably too busy decapitating someone.

Yes, it is a risk. But there are times when its power is required regardless of its stability issues. Though I must say that I'm looking forward to the 0-Raiser and its docking capabilities. Only time will tell of the 00's true potential.

Really, there's nothing you need to worry about... because I'm definitely not dying any time soon. I still have a very important mission to complete, after all.
