Meet the Parents (for dontthinkabout)
Once they had traveled safely back to Paris, Ari had contacted her parents and scheduled a visit for a couple weeks later. It would not only make her family happy, but it would also give some extra time for things to cool down surrounding Arthur's last job gone wrong.
However, now that their plane was taxiing to the arrival gate at Logan airport she was starting to feel nervous. She'd never brought home a guy to meet her family, and while she knew they would definitely like Arthur, she wasn't so sure what he would think of her family. They were all a lot like her, outspoken, too smart for their own good sometimes, and nosy. To thrust someone like Arthur into that environment felt like throwing him to some really intrusive wolves.
She looked over at him in the seat next to her and gave him an anxious smile.
"Are you ready for this?" she asked, knowing that with the way her parents were, half the family would be waiting for them at baggage claim, probably with a welcome sign and everything.
