...I felt somehow obligated to comment on this with this account. :)

Also, am I remembering wrong, or didn't Kreuz or someone basically tell Teito to forget about everything as well, in order to hide the Eye? Also in the rewritten scenes in... I forget what chapter it is but in the tankoubon, Miroku's conversation with Ayanami implies Miroku either knew or suspected that Teito had the Eye, which also explains his interest in Teito. Or in other words just using him like some thing that can be passed around and used...

Yeaaah, i was re-reading the chapters this morning as well, and Miroku implies even in the zerosum version he knew teito had something to him, what with his and Ayanami's talk about Teito 'remembering.'
