Title: Reading George
Summary: Mitchell dreams of being human.
Pairing: George/Mitchell, arguably. But really, not.

A/N: I know getting scared at night might be more of a female thing, I don't know how worried guys get, but after one hundred years of being pretty much invincible I'd be scared too.

Mitchell dreamt that he was human.

It was dark, truly dark, not the dark the vampires see, and streetlights flickered.

A landlord threw all the drunkards out of this pub and the argued with him for it. For once, Mitchell didn’t make eye contact, never gave an unspoken challenge.

He walked home in the same direction they were walking, but they were ahead of him, and he didn’t want to attract their attention by taking over.

So he walked home at a drunk man’s pace before slipping into the house.

Mitchell tells George this, and George looks at him for a moment, and suddenly Mitchell can’t read the unspoken.

Only guess.

I’m sorry you forgot that for so long?

Be thankful you forgot that for so long?

It freaks me out that you forgot that for so long?

I’m  envious that you forgot that for so long?

Or maybe it’s not that he had forgotten?

It’s not only humans who get scared.

“Huh, weird,” says George, (too brightly?) “Tea?”

reviews are love people. love. *puppy eyes*
