A pineapple sandwich can make the blues go away.   No really, it can.  It would be wonderful if I could follow it up with a snickers bar, but chocolate is a no no for now.  I wanted to ask everyone, what is your comfort food?  What kind of food can make things a bit brighter for you?

question, comfort food

My comfort food: popcorn
It not only tastes good but it has many childhood memories for me. Everytime I make some popcorn, I revert to being a kid, eating popcorn with my Grandma. She loved it too. :)

Also, ice cream rules.

Popcorn is very good. I always used to like the kettle corn but my nephew told me that he couldn't stand the popcorn with honey on it, lol. :)

wow, a pineapple sandwich for reals?

hmmm, comfort food for me would probably be chocolate. Like brownies or something. I heart those Betty Crocker warm delights :-D mmmmm

Oh yes, pineapple sandwiches hit the spot for me. That and a saltine cracker with peanut butter and a marshmallow on top, all toasted for a bit. :)

I've seen those warm delights in the stores and they look heavenly. :)

when i'm in a hurry, chocolate or ice cream

Oh wow. It's been so long since I've had homemade macaroni and cheese. I know what I'm fixing soon! :)

Pie. Any kind of pie. And hot chocolate.

My grandma could make a really good blueberry pie, and even though I have the recipe, it never quite tastes as good as the ones she would make.

Oh my GAWD! My mom can make a killer pie. I remember her picking apples from the trees in the backyard and making the crusts from scratch. When we'd have family dinners for the holidays, everyone asked Mom to bring the pies. Man, I miss her pies! Why'd she have to move so far away?

And Jason has a chili recipe that kicks ass, but I can't ever get that right.

pineapple sandwich? hmm.. may be a dumb question, but what does that consist of?

I love Peanut Lovers Chex Mix for a pick me up. Or tortilla chips with cheese dip.

Not a dumb question at all. I just put a bit of miracle whip (any type mayo will do though) on white bread, and the pineapple in between. It's quick and sooo yummy. :)
