it will likely cost more than you think it will. and you have to deal with roommates unless you live with someone cool (and if you don't end up not being friends with them by the time you move out.) I wouldn't have changed and lived in the dorms for anything, but I am signifigantly poorer than I might have been had i lived in the dorms. If you're just doing it for the parking, then I wouldn't bother. If you're doing it for the quietness and being able to have your own space and such things, then go for it. but be prepared to be broke.
