What's your opinion?

Do you think that everything happens for a reason in life? And that there are "signs" ? That there is such a thing as fate?

Or do you think that coincidences are just that- just a rare coincidence. Nothing special. And there are no signs and you can not read into stuff like that

im pretty sure there's some overarching plan, but it doesn't determine everything and set it in stone

there has to be some human control over the events of your life or else whats the point of existing.....just playing a part in a play?

but it can't all just be random.....there's just no way

I think we're given situations, but like...in the end, it's our own decision if we take them or not. Like in terms of my current man situation, there are so many coincidences about John and I but in the end it's going to be up to me to tell him I'm interested.

I think people are put into our lives, but its what we make of our lives that tells what happens. We have free will. And everything does happen to provoke something else and sometimes we'll never know why. And I don't believe someone is specifically MEANT for someone, or whatever, and I don't believe in soul mates. I believe that it's not that easy and it takes work to make a relationship work and the more work you put into it, the more you'll get out of it. Once you find it.

To say that it's fate is like saying some of us are favored and some of us aren't and I know that isnt what is going on.

I agree with most of what has been said. There is a paradox that I beleive in though that is the mystery of faith. I believe God to be omniscient yet men have free will. I think that God is the Creator of all things and the architect behind us. I believe that he has a plan too mysterious for us to understand. It is difficult too because bad things happen and that is not the will of God for man to suffer. Though, I do believe that through tough situations, we learn about ourselves and about God and God works in those situations. I think that most things happen for a reason in life. There are every day things that happen that I am not sure if I know what the particular reason is for it, but I do believe that things happen for a reason and that God is in control.
