Ahh this is stunning! And so very them.

- except for that he did -

giggles, I can so hear his voice there. Great development and not a word wasted. So true that sometimes absence of touches is a powerful indicator, at least true in my life!

I love all these new fics from you, each once like unwrapping a present.

Thanks so much again!
I'm very glad to hear that you like this story as well, even though it's very short and was written at like 3 am during an exam week.
But yeah, I'll try to keep posting and I hope you'll enjoy those new fics =D

I've always liked fics where D/D love each other but aren't schmoopy-in-love. Ther love for each other seems to grow as a natural extension of their friendship.

Isn't there a line in Pride and Prejudice where Elizabeth asks Darcy when he had first fallen in love with her and he says something like he was already there before he realized it?

Found it:

Elizabeth's spirits soon rising to playfulness again, she wanted Mr. Darcy to account for his having ever fallen in love with her. "How could you begin?" said she. "I can comprehend your going on charmingly, when you had once made a beginning; but what could set you off in the first place?"

"I cannot fix on the hour, or the spot, or the look, or the words, which laid the foundation. It is too long ago. I was in the middle before I knew that I had begun."

That. This, here, this fic. He was already there.

Yeah, I think that D/D falling in love only works for me if it's based on the friendship that was already developed between them.

Whereas I love the movie and the tv-serie and like the book as well (though I read it only once), I have to say that I'm not a P&P expert at all. But reading the part that you posted there makes me wish that I were! It's just beautiful. And yes, I think that the same goes for the Doctor and Donna... in my mind at least.

Yes, yes, yes! This is why their relationship is so beautiful because it is based on friendship first, which for me is an absolute prerequisite for lasting romantic love!!!

This type of fic I just love so much, I could really imagine it happening this way, and I loved the style in which you wrote it. *feeling happy and warm because of excellent fic*

Talking himself into and out of an argument is typical, and a revelation here.
My favourite image is slipping into each other's bed so neither of them would have to spend the night alone. I dunno why, but it just is!! :D

Haha, well, let's face, we all would like that to happen, wouldn't we? ;)
And after that utterly wonderful hug at the end of Midnight... maybe they did! :)
