Oh my. This was so many things...powerful, vivid, emotive, spellbinding, mesmerizing. I am in love with this story, it's captivating. Your slowly unfolding physicality has me holding my breath, I ADORE how it lets me picture this and take the time to feel every caress *melts* To me this is hotter than most explicit sex scenes because it's so potent. And then there's catalyst!Jack! YUS! Gotta luff him!
I think it speaks to my own dysfunctions that I would have been worrying the whole time that he was off sobbing / sulking in a corner somewhere so I was very glad when you brought it full circle and showed us his demeanor at the end too.

I'm really delighted what you said about the hotness so to speak, cause what you described there is what I almost always aim to do in my fics. Less is more, haha!
And indeed, no sulking for Jack. I don't really know where that last part came from, but it just felt like it had to be there :D

Oh, where do I start with what I loved about this story?! So many possibilities!

The burn of the Doctor's awakening, without realizing any primal components, was lovely. You made it easy to feel for his confusion and yearning (without his really accepting that it was yearning). And then the realization that Donna didn't want Jack after all, and the comfort that led to... *le sigh*

And of course, Jack did it to push them together. I don't blame Mickey for being a bit offended on Martha's behalf. Or for being confused. And seriously, Jack will find someone else soon enough. Those fancy pheromones and all... ;)

The yearning-without-being-aware-of-it is a major part of this fic but it was a bit tricky to write sometimes, so I'm very glad that it worked so well for you! :)

Wow. There just aren't words to describe how much I love this. It's romantic and sweet and just prefect. I love how you described the Doctor's feelings and Donna's uncertainty It's almost quiet in the way that it feels, yet contemplative. Beautiful work as always.
