ASSASSIN'S BLADE my current WIP is off to my #1 fan and crit partners. Actually it went out a few days ago. And I've been wondering around, lost. Normally when I finish an edit, getting the story as good as I feel I can and send it off, either to get critiqued or to query, I feel wonderfully drained. I remember the day in 1998 or so when I picked up my abandoned Prospero novel and reread what I had written. When I came to the second scene, I started laughing outloud. Not sure why, never made me laugh since, but that time, it struck me as tremdously funny. So, I picked it up again....and realized that if I just dropped the very last scene I'd written back in like 1993, I could salvage it and finish it. (And I did.)
