So, while working on my American Gothic final, I found an article on Poe's The Black Cat about the narrator. Since it wasn't relevant to my paper (which was on The Raven and was quite dry and boring), I moved on and found some other sources. But something about the abstract or something made me remember it, so today I went back and read it.

I come back Monday! My family has missed me too and they get me for less time than Iowa City peeps do now.

I am about ready to come home though. I love my family, but I also like living in my own place with my own rules.

I'm a writing major, gonna be taking a lot of literature courses, and can write ten-page essays analyzing a work of literature without feeling like I'm spewing bullshit, and even I think the field of literary criticism is bullshit. I've always regarded literary criticism with disdain.

Basically: you're right. I agree.
