Why the hell I'd been standin' 'round listenin' t'Harm talk, I had no idea. Finally I couldn't take it anymore and I just fuckin' stormed off tryin' t'find out where Cordy had run off. Wasn't everyday that you had one of the best shags of your unlife and woke up t'find the bird in question goneEspecially if you're me ( Read more... )

Spike interrupted, as he was wont to do, mine and Angel's conversation. However, for once he did seem to have something particularly on topic to share.

"Angel. Harm's still here. In the hotel. Did you not hear me? IN THE HOTEL. HARM. STILL."

Oh, for goodness' sake, I thought, were we ever going to learn how to lock the front door in this hotel? How many of our adversaries had just walked right in through the lobby to terrorize us? I would have said that to Fred if Spike and Wesley weren't walking in to join us. What a lousy coincidence.

"Hey." I smiled to Spike and Wes, trying to make it seem like we weren't just talking about them. We didn't say anything bad, it shouldn't upset them. And it's not like I jumped out of bed and ran down here so that Fred and I could compare, or rate them, we hardly mentioned last night. Our conversation was strictly about our feelings for them. They should be happy, or vaugely amused, at the very least, I'd like a little indifference here ( ... )
