"When you're done playing, come get me. We need to figure out what the hell we're doin' here. And, we need to fix this place up. It got dusty while we played in the bad guys house and then got all dead!"
I paused in my steps, watching Gunn move towards me with a purpose in his eyes I did not approve of in the least. He had left me alone, betrayed me, after he had shared words with me and I had saved his life when the timestream had repeated endlessly.
There was a smile on his lips as he walked upwards towards where I stood.
There was not a smile on my lips.
Then, he walked entirely past me, ignoring my presence! He strode into the room that closed off all breath and made me ache for my powers to control time once more...then, perhaps, I could alter it to suit my needs.
To begin with, the Dragon would have been my kill.
And to end with, Wesley, Gunn, and The Shell would be dead at my feet now for betraying my trust.
"Illyria?""You speak to me as if we are equals," I noted as I turned slowly and walked back towards the room

I shook my head. She got up on the wrong side of the bed. I opened the door back up. She was walking away, but I thought I'd better get my word in edgewise.
"Illyria, what in the world is your problem? Remember what I said? I'll be your guide, but crap like that's gotta stop. You weren't up when I got up, so I went downstairs." I looked at her, and could not, for the life of me, figure out what her problem was.
And for a moment, I didn't care. I looked at that backside, looking so familiar. For a moment, I almost forgot she wasn't Fred.
"Illyria, what in the world is your problem? Remember what I said? I'll be your guide, but crap like that's gotta stop."Vague words from Gunn's lips crossed the hotel until I heard pieces of them, broken. I had no need for a guide, not any longer. We had all perished in the Great Battle, and I was displeased to return without a purpose

She had kept going. Well, good riddence to bad...she doesn't want a friend, she won't get one. I headed around the office, looking for someone to talk to that actually lived in this world.
