Valentines' Day last year, the island bound people together by an invisible magical string, so they couldn't break contact at all for a week. It only happened between 2 people, and you could let go of one hand if you were touching your other hands, that kind of thing.

The year before, everyone was bewitched into feeling compelled to write love letters.

Valentines' Day? Even I remember that one! Girls give chocolates to the guy they like! And to other guys, too, if they're one of the really nice girls.
