Yay! I really liked that. And I liked that you set it a little farther in the future. Crews and Reese's partnership felt very authentic, and I loved that you gave Reese a POV in this. And Veronica and Charlie worked out, I liked the unique similarities between them and the quietness of the last scene by the pool.

Yeah, I felt like I had to go the future route, simply because I'm not sure how much a mere intern would actually get to do, case-wise.

And I really wanted to smuttify it, but it didn't feel organic.

I really enjoyed that: I think you did a great job showing how Veronica and Charlie would be intrigued by each other, and the little mention of the bet at the end felt very in character for them all.
