Shut up, McGee

Clearly I need to continue to remind myself that reading the TWoP boards is an exercise in futility. Seriously, every time I venture there, I start to think I must be from another planet.

Case in point: the NCIS thread. Apparently, I am the only person in the world who doesn't think that McGee is the most awesome part of the show. I watch the ( Read more... )

while i don't wish a shiv on mcgee, he's definitely not my favorite. i can take him in small quantities when part of the larger group, but last night was just too much.

and immature asshole of the lowest order would be a reference to The Cutting Edge.

10 points to you! And okay, maybe the shiv was a little harsh...it doesn't have to be a fatal shiv, just enough to incapacitate him for a few months? LOL

ok, non-fatal shiv. flesh wound complicated by infection or something like that.

and you're right the celia thing was definitely the more compelling story, which i'm sure will pop up in later episodes, but it would have been better if they focused more on that rather than mcgee gets some courage.

Since when does Ziva "moon" over anyone? She's a total badass!

I second the motion to shiv McGee.

And while you know I'm a G/A gal, too, I can't help but wonder if Celia could turn into a sort of Lady Heather-type character for Gibbs. Their tiny little scene was incredibly compelling.

Okay, glad I'm not the only one who got a weird vibe with Celia and Gibbs. But...is she a redhead? LOL (The episode was so boring I can't even remember.)

And frankly, you will never, ever convince me that Sean Murray got the role for any reason other than the fact he is Donald Bellisario's stepson.

Really? Wow, I never knew that. I certainly don't dislike McGee, but as you say, he's definitely my least favorite. This is another show for me where I just like to watch and don't really listen to other people's opinions about it (like TWoP), because they're usually the polar opposite of mine.

Also, "immature asshole of the lowest order" is from The Cutting Edge. Hee!

I'm not really 'active' in the fandom, but I was bored this afternoon and popped over to TWoP, where I quickly remembered why I don't go there regularly.

And yeah, SM actually had a recurring role on JAG, where he played the obnoxious son of the woman Admiral Chegwidden was dating, so this isn't even the first time nepotism has reared its head.

And 10 points to you too!

I don't hate McGee...in fact, sometimes I kind of like him. (Admittedly, I giggled at the line "I've never hit a woman before, but if you come at me with that, I will drop you" because it was HILARIOUS - oh, Probie!). However....he does pale in comparison to the other characters. They all seem to be so well-developed....but overall, most of McGee's stories seem to revolve around him feeling weak and somehow overcoming it. I'd must rather watch Tony and Ziva have sex already.

....wait, did I say that last part out loud?

I totally wanted to see more of Celia's story, though. Her willingness to cover for Sharon showed that she might not be all evil. But mostly, it was that scene with Gibbs that got me. What was THAT? More of that, please!

God, I'm so glad you said that. I absolutely hate the character of McGee. He is so boring to me. I feel the same way you do about the characters. I mainly watch for abby and gibbs, and to me they should make that pair grow some more.
