I woke up to thunder in the background.
Rain was tap-tap-tapping on my window.
What a way to wake up.
Days like this always make me feel most alive.

Life is beautiful.
I had a good time at my grandmothers.
She's darling, and I came home with roses from her garden.
Now my house is calm and quiet, and I'm typing as I sit on the edge of my bed.
Tomorrow, I am going to begin The Grapes of Wrath.
Everything is just beginning.

Summer has started.
It seems unbelievable.

I went to Ocean Beach.
I met Amanda at SDSU, the trolley ride was long but we saw some unusual characters.
We met everyone down there.
The personal beaches were fun, we got ice cream and went swimming in the large large waves.
The sea weed was out of control but I had fun.

I feel apprehensive for the summer; it's really going to make all these changes even more noticeable.
It's too bad it had to end the way it did, but at least I left it off on a reasonably good note.

The school year is winding down.

Okay, so today will be a good one.
And yesterday was good too.
My partner and I sold the most lottery tickets.
I got a 25 dollar gift card to Nordstrom's as a result.
We raised $1280 for the new elephant enclosure.
Then I went to Laura Foley's goodbye party.
And boy, was it a party.
I danced and danced, it got out of hand.

it is so hard to stay positive

Does everything really always turn out how it's supposed to?
I hope so.
I have been missing the past a lot this last week.
Nostalgia is still a sort-of problem for me.
The memories are good, of course.
But bittersweet.
My stomach still cringes a bit sometimes.
But last night felt like genuine summer and it was thrilling, in a subtle way.

Yeaaah-uh.
I'm so excited, school's done in three days.
Finals are nearly over, my yearbook is filled with signatures.
I'm hoping to make and remake friends and it's off to a good start.
Overall, things are peachy keen.

I'm glad I called Leanna today, that girl always makes me smile.
