Just because I like Christmas, bright and sharp mornings, frost, hotwater bottles, blankets, warmsocks, jumpers, hot chocolate, the dark and stomping around in Dr Martens DOES NOT MEAN I ENJOY BEING THIS COLD

Today Antonia, my lecturer for stagemanagement, called me and offered me a DSM placement instead of board-op! Ohmigosh so excited! It's on Playhouse Creatures, in the Chapter Arts Centre. They originally chose Elvin, a postgrad from last year who needed another placement and hadn't had any luck getting a job, but he just found a job and they chose

Date night last night was lush. Once we started with a massive tower of onion rings as a starter there was really nothing that could go wrong! We stuffed ourselves, (I love Daiquiries squillions!) then came home and vegged out to Bram Stoker's Dracula. P'raps not the most romantic of films, but it was lush to just sit and chat and cuddle. Perfect

Came back to Cardiff today, term starts on Monday so I've got the weekend to sort the flat out and do a bit of reading. It's colder here, there was more snow last week as well and it's all fozen to the pavements. It's absolutely lethal trying to walk anywhere. I'm worried about Rach walking home from the lib but I guess if she comes back as late as

So the new year was brought in at a houseparty I went to with Rach. Mainly her friends, (that I get on very well with) but also a guy called Richard that I went to school with and so knew before I met her. It was all going really well and a good time was had by all until I got too drunk and threw-up everywhere. Very embarrassing but mostly I just

Visited Nat today. She looked very tired, unsuprising for someone who had pretty major surgery four days ago but she seemed pretty positive. They took more of the extra!rib, and the top normal rib, as well as some muscle and some scar tissue, so hopefully with physio she'll get all the movement back in her shoulder. She can't put her hand on her

Managed to sleep until 12.50 today. Didn't go to bed until 2am, but that's hardly mental! Woke up feeling really disorientated and confused, not a nice feeling! Day improved though, saw Nowhere Boy with Monique. I enjoyed it a lot, it was better than I expected and I'm guessing I liked it a lot more than I would have liked Sherlock Holmes, our

So the dust has settled on another christmas! It was really nice actually. A lot less stressful than last year and everyone seemed a bit more chilled. I think we all needed it to be fair as Hannah had a horrid cold and Ben is stressed to his eyeballs, which means Mary is too. So it was nice to just chillax all together. Xmas eve we went to the Tav

There will be a proper xmas entry soon but before that, my Dad just comes into my room with a melon under each arm and says, "When I've forgotten where my melons are, they're in the airing cupboard," in that way he has when he knows he making a bad joke or even just saying something plain daft but he's going to say it anyway because it amuses him.

Tonight's Tv has made me feel a bit useless! haha. Have watched a programme about a performance of The Rite of Spring done using differing styles of dance and a programme about Scrabble full of ridiculously intense Scrabble geeks. Oh well, I'm very good at giving out Skates! I do quite like working at the rink, it's very Christmasy afterall and
