Quite recently, some of my classmates have taken to staring at me like I'm some rare, exotic creature. It's really amusing.
Currently, there are 42 people in my class, me included. We're quite a clique-ish class; almost everyone belong to one clique or another. There's one major clique with around 20-30 people; with a select group of 'leaders' who, when they suggest something, the rest of the clique follows. Within this clique there's about 3 seperate clique, around 10 guys in one clique, another 10 girls perhaps in another, and then there's the 'leaders' and some of their closer friends. It is the 'leaders' clique, plus some others, that's starting to display this peculiar action.
I do suppose I somewhat understand why the stare at me like that. Of course, I'm just assuming, but here goes.
1. I am weird. I know that. At least, my actions, thoughts, and the things I say are terribly different from others. I guess that makes me weird. Examples? Well, my biology teacher said he might be able to let us see the human egg under the microscope, and I exclaimed that it's interesting. The 'leader' sitting next to me proceeded to exchange glances with her friend. :D
2. I sing. Aloud. In class(well, after class) All my Japanese songs. :D
3. We are very, very different. As far as I can see, excluding the effects of the Korean Wave, almost all of them are very
'Westernised'. I, on the other hand, is obviously very 'Japanised', 'Asian'. So I think it's this difference that eventually led up to the way things are in my class right now.
3. This is really a wild guess, but... I think one or two of them are at least somewhat interested in me. And maybe that has something to do with it. But, as I said, this really just a wild guess. I have seen possible hints, but nothing concrete.
I'm not really offended or anything. If anything, I'm amused, and somewhat proud too. Amused, because it's just strange and peculiar and such an interesting display of human psychology, if it's called that. Proud, because I'm actually able to get their attention.
Then again, none o the reasons above explains why they only started recently...
