Probably the same people who summon the chef in restaurants. Charmers. I'd imagine theater-clappers attired in pink and I'd be bailing you out of jail about now ;)
Very true, but I use a fairly wide definition of "filmmaker."
Couple weeks ago at the Bradford Film Festival we saw Who Framed stupid Roger Rabbit, which had been introduced by an animator who'd just started working at Disney at the time and spoke about the then-state-of-the-art techniques and such before the film started. So I didn't mind the clapping then because she seemed like a nice lasy and I bet she appreciated it. She looked and sounded like a housewife and the way she talked about the film made it sound like her life since wasn't as interesting, so if that's true it's all the more reason to clap, I think.
The other one How the West was Won, obviously also didn't have the filmmakers present ... but many people who'd done a lot of work on the restoration were there, and I think they deserved the applause they got at the end because they did a painstaking, tedious job very well and I at least was very appreciative
( ... )
Gliberty, all that. You should give your reader a bit of a discussion, or maybe I should just read your posts more often so that I can know things like Niagara's priority in your heart. I suppose I *heart* context in most if not all things.

And I start in September, unless I make it to law school in the interim. Then I have quite the choice to make.
