Hi there...mike_brendanNovember 9 2006, 02:24:46 UTC
I looked through your profile, and I figured any fan of Muppets AND Ursula K Leguin can't be all that bad to talk to. Perhaps we can gab about things ... or even nothing in particular. :)

Hello! I've looked through your profile and journal, and we seem to have quite a bit in common -- I am puzzled, though; you seem somehow familiar (other than the fact that we both frequent pittsburgh). I also play in the SCA; maybe that's why?
AngelVixen :-) P.S. I have just started -- however, I am hooked. Historical fiction + Japanese history =

The last SCA event I was in was Pennsic 31 (or 30), and I'm not a heavy fighter so I was never a prominent figure anywho... Perhaps a local convention or some other such gathering? I'm not sure.
Or maybe I really do have an evil twin. Or is he the good twin? I can never tell...
Anyway, I'm certain you'll love Shogun. One of my writing mentors once said that this was invaluable for SF writers to learn how to do world building and present an alien society.
Hello - i saw you in bentolunch... or baaaaaabyanimals... either way, i loved you icon, and i read your profile, and was wondering what part of AEthelmearc you are from? I used to live in the Shire of Heronter, in Western NY - now i'm in the Shire of Black Water in RI. We have much in common, i think, and maybe we could be friends.
And salutations to you! I'm currently residing in the Barony-Marche of the Debatable Lands, though I've heard of both Heronter and BlackWater. I admit to squeeing when I saw you had the same "Books are Love" banner that I do, and I think you're right, we do have quite a bit in common. ^^
*is giddy* i noticed the "books are love" banner too... and i made funny noises at your muppets banner that caused my boss to look at me strangely (well, no more strangely than usual)
are you going to Pennsic? i have friends that are incommunicado for the next two weeks because of it, but sadly i'm still a Pennsic virgin. *pout*
Alas, alack, I have no money for Pennsic this year. I went for the first time last year, and had such a blast that I wanted to come back as often as possible. On the other hand, so many of my friends can't make it this year that we're all banding together in our common misery.
