Angela grins and kneels next to her, slinging her arm around Steph's shoulders.
The neighborhood is very well taken care of, and typical California with a generous sprinkling of palm trees in the front yards. It's fairly early in the morning, and there are a few people taking care of their lawns.
"I'm so glad you could come, Steph. I'm looking forward to showing you everything."
"This is just - seriously, Angie, this means so much to me." Steph leans into her friend, eyes still caught by the outside world. "It's - Dude. We're going to have SO MUCH FUN."
Steph's face lights up. ... Well, it lights up more.
"Oh, can we? After the beach, of course?"
She's pretty much glued to the windows, absorbing the sunlight and shiny things. This place is nothing like Gotham. It's beautiful. Not her home, but beautiful.
After a few hours surfing, you'd think that these two might actually be tired. But they're teenage girls, and the thought of lunch at the mall plus shopping keeps them going.
"Something that tastes like California," Steph says promptly. "And something you can't get in the Bar. Which totally limits your options, really, but man, I have no clue."
She's looking about, absolutely enchanted by the mall.
"But you can get everything at the Bar," Angela says with a laugh. "But there's a burger joint that I usually hang out in."
It's a 50's themed restraunt--think the restaraunt in Pulp Fiction with booths shaped like cars and a restaraunt counter. "It's not precisely different, but hey, you actually have to talk to waitresses and stuff."

This is SO COOL.
She drops her backpack on the bed and jumps up to kneel on the windowsill and gaze at the world outside.
"Wow."

Saturday was a short day, though. She'd meet him at dinner. "Oh, did you remember a bathing suit? Because I have more than one, if you didn't."
And really, they're not too different in height and build, though Steph's definitely bigger up top than Angela is.
"And did you eat anything?"

She stows their gear in the back of the Jeep. "Remember to buckle up."

"It takes a little while to drive to the beach, but that's cool, you'll get to see more of my home."
Valencia is essentially a huge suburb of Los Angeles, fairly upper middle class. And the town includes a gorgeous mall, of course.
"I go shopping there," she says, pointing. "It's nice. We'll have to go."

The Valencia Town Center mall is very pretty indeed.
"Do you have any preferences for food?" Angela asks Steph.
