You know, it just occurred to me that if you were a Kira, you wouldn't have anything to gain by solving that riddle for us like you did. That would be a clue that a Kira would like, because the detectives would be arguing pointlessly over it at least until time to vote again.

...wish I had some idea who 'James' was, though.

And if you hadn't solved the clue, it wouldn't have gotten solved - that's why it's the kind of clue a Kira would like, the detectives would argue over it for days and not get anything done!
Personally, my money's on Sano-kun, because I can't suspect you right now because of you solving the clue, and if 'James' was a Kira, I think he'd actually be interested enough to show up.

I just hope my solution's right, but it reads like half the clues in the manga I've confiscated from kids before.
Honestly? I was thinking Sano too. I can see why the shepherd might pick the three of us -- I was under suspicion in the first round, so I'm on people's minds as might be/might not be a wolf. James hasn't shown up, so nobody can judge whether or not he IS a wolf. Sano, though, wasn't under suspicion before, that I saw... eh, it might be coincidence, though.

Are you one of the votes on Sano-kun?

If I don't make it through the night, I think you have a lead!

Why do you think you might not make it through the night? Isn't Inomoyama at bigger risk, since he got the clue?

But they don't always go for the safes - who would you rather have out, someone who could bust you, or someone who everyone already knows is safe?
I would rather throw the detectives into confusion than just timidly pick off the people everyone already knows are safe anyway - or a combination of the two!
But if Sano-kun was really a Kira, you and Yuuri-kun are both in danger of being killed, since you would have outlived your usefulness as scapegoats.
