Well, I've just finished chapter 68 of Death Note..
Grr.. I really like Death Note, it's the most original idea for manga that i know of, but ever since L died.. I'm just not happy with it. I'm not as fond of Near as I was of L, and I have very little opinion of Mello, and even Light's disappointing me at the moment. Near kept calling him

I pretty much agree with everyhting you've said here... Aside from the Mello thing. But that'll come later...
Near isn't as likeable as L... I've only recently come round to the idea of possibly liking him. I've always found his lack of emotion unnerving... He is cute though. :3 like a little lamb <3 And I must admit... he's growing on me. Slowly.
But Mello... Dude. Mello. How are you not feeling the love? From "to losing to Mello in a heartbeat," I'm going to guess that you haven't got to the part where Mello gets cool yet, but... Still. Mello > everyone else in DN. Seriously. I know you haven't said you dislike him, merely that you have little opinion, but ... you know full well that I defned my favourites to death. And beyond ( ... )

Mello just comes across as a bit pathetic, he cant stand to be second so he kills everyone. He's smart, but his obsession with winning makes him appear childish at the same time. Which, incidentally, is maybe why Light seems so bad to me - he could beat L, but not childish seeming Mello?
Mello and Light are so similar at the moment. They both disappoint me. :(
But I agree with you, Near IS a lamb! *petpet*

What's this? Now I've read it all, you're gonna have to explain this. What did you see? Who do you hate?? WHAT DID SHE DO???
...I'm guessing the chapter is Mello's death? But who's 'she'?
*confused*

You'll probably think it's ridiculous, but the thing I got so worked up about was that she stole Mello's phone after she had killed him. It just seemde to be really disrespectful of Mello. And, I know, she killed him. She probably doesn't care about respecting him once he's dead. But still.
