Make sure you get a good survey done and have lot of money spare when the roof falls in O_o (not that it will)

Make sure the boiler works and if they don't let you try it get it in writing that it works!

Sweet, welcome to a lifetime of debt :)

If you haven't made a final offer yet make a conditional one based on the Vendors supplying obtaining a electrical and gas safety check.

* C.O.R.G.I Gas certificate
*Electrical safety certificate issued by an approved trade association. ie. N.I.C.E.I.C.

The previous owners had the Gas done at our request but I forgot the electrical one and now I don't dare actually let Julie know just how bad some of the wiring is. I've been quoted two grand to rewire the house.
