A couple of months ago, my dear friend Val was talking about her big birthday that was coming up, and I jokingly mentioned writing her 40 fics for her 40th birthday.

I don't think I thought at the time it would really happen, but I started it anyway, and even a couple of hours before the clock ticked over onto deadline day, I was still writing...

When we talked about this about maybe 6 weeks before my birthday, I joked you had to write one fic a day. Then time went by and you hadn't started. All of a sudden you had to write more than one a day! I didn't think you'd make it either but boy did you take the challenge in stride! Haha and I loved every word of it! I'm happy to say I spent the first couple of hours of my 40th birthday reading your fic :)
