I'm still sort of a luddite... I hate watching shows on Frankentop. It's just so much better to watch TV on TV. My only exception is Doctor Who, which I make Ben download on his computer because waiting for it to come here is excruciating. And the official websites are always super-annoying, so I usually steer clear of the online content. Network advertisers hate me.

Why don't you just hook up the computer to your television as a monitor?

Or if you have an iPod that plays video, you can transfer it to your iPod then play it directly from the iPod onto your television.

My iPod is super old (3rd gen - it has the row of four buttons above the wheel). And Frankentop's disc drive is dead, too. My collection of dilapidated and nearly defunct electronics is staggering (You should see my original GameBoy). I get stubbornly sentimental about them and refuse to upgrade until I absolutely have to. Ben's been talking about getting a cable that will let him hook his powerbook up to the tv so we can watch Doctor Who from the comfort of the sofa, but since there's only one episode left this season, I think he's going to forget about the idea until Christmas. But my new DVD player should be arriving Monday or Tuesday, so everything will go back to normal.
