so many walls

so many walls

will i ever break them down

how can i escape

and put my feet

back on the ground

show me

the way

don’t leave me to fall

help me

to find

my way out

from this wall

I am well acquainted with what this poem des-cribes. All I can say is...it can be done, cause I've got at least one of my feet on the ground, again. And it feels pretty good, actually.

Thanks for the comment:) This is actually an old poem of mine. I am in a much better frame of mind these days, but, I put it out there for the ones still there because sometime it helps to know others have felt the same way.

Glad to hear it. It's a rough ride being behind those walls, isn't it? I've got an old poem or two that I'd written, but don't have anymore. Thanks for sharing it. Good reminder of how far I've come...it's an encouragement, for sure.
