I so hear ya--I was watching several S1 eps for work last month, and in many ways I prefer the later seasons, because they have the super-epic mythology storylines and, of course, Cas, but I totally miss the old days. :\ I feel like the bros' relationship hasn't been the same since S3, and I totally miss the days when it was just the two of them against the world and, you know, they actually liked each other. Awww.

And fuck yeah, the music. I downloaded so much Straight Guy Music, as I call it, when I got into this show in '09.

The music was such a big part of the show, I even have a few MP3 CDs that I keep in car that are labelled "SPN Music". It's such a shame they have changed it so much now.

I totally agree with you. In later seasons the relationship between they was the central point in the show. I'm really tired of all this cosmic politics, heaven, hell... all I need to love Supernatural are the boys.

I hope it gets better when come back.

I hope so too. Like you said, cosmic politics shouldn't be the strong point of the show. The brother's and their friendship should be, but that seems to be lost. I hope they still manage to salvage the show in the few remaining episodes.

Their relationship was such a strong point in the early days, and it was - along with the music - the best part of the show, IMHO. I hope it gets better again.

So true. It used to be so good and now it's all about pushing yet another reset button to make it even more over the top epic ... I haven't watched one episode of this season yet. Sam's return at the end of the last one pissed me off too much.

And if you had watched, you'd be even more pissed off, because the plot right now is just stupid IMHO. The one person that I wouldn't mind if they pushed the reset button to bring back was the only one that never returned from death, you know, our hot dear Papa Winchester.
