I've just got back from seeing PoA. I haven't really absorbed it yet, especially since I was seeing it with a group of six of my friends - rather chatty (and, heh, smutty interpretation-obsessed).

I did enjoy it! A couple of things that struck me though. (Generally critical. I'm sure that says something meaningful about me. Not exactly in order, either.)

Goodness, I wish I could do that to some of my relatives.
I am exceedingly disturbed by that shrunken head.
The Dementors are... not really much like I imagined.
Huh. Random flight on Buckbeak. Right. Harry has a 'Titanic' moment.
Erm. What happened to the Spring Term?
... Am I watching Hermione Granger and the Prisoner of Azkaban? But I don't mind- I like Hermione!
You know, Harry, I'm not entirely sure you're not something of a bully yourself.
"Happy memory, Harry." Yes, like what you were doing under the sheets...
My goodness those are big pumpkins.
This is all in the wrong order! What? Huh? Okay, that's just weird.
Pettigrew is not a man who turns into a rat, he's a rat who is a man too, or something.
... Bizarre werewolf!
Firebolt... now. Huh.
... What an odd shot of Harry's face, at the end.
Harry/Hermione. Ron/Hermione. Draco/Hermione (*blink*).
Random funnies added in - some work, some don't.

Overall: There's so much missing! It's not really a movie of the book, in some ways, it's a movie based generally around the plot of the book. Which is understandable, considering how complicated the book is, and how much there is in it, but I don't get why some of the things - like the random flight on Buckbeak - are in there, while things like the identity of Moony and co are completely ignored. Still, twas fun, certainly. No regrets at all at having to pay even central London prices to see it.

In summary: Squee!
