::chuckles:: I'll consider it. ...Perhaps when I'm finally allowed to view your journal entries.
And thank you. You're right, I am not required to voice my opinion in a public forum. Though to be truthful, if the subject were something that really mattered to me - something that was going to limit my rights, say, or if someone else needed defending, I would be the first to pipe up. But not this petty stuff that seems to be prevalent.

I'd rather be renowned for positive things like that rather than be notorious for having a loud presence on the internet.
Personally, I feel the same way, too. I don't like to waste my energy on message boards, because it's just not worth the effort to get mad at people that I've never met and the like. Usually, if I have issues with that person, I'd like to tell it to their face, and not behind a computer screen. I think a computer is a wimpy way to confront someone, but that's just me.
Whenever it comes to my own opinions, I'd rather post it in my LJ, because it is my own space. I've never been to Texas before. Though, I will say this, in terms of anime, I know A-kon is one week after Fanime Con, and that is a huge anime con. There's also IkkiCon, UshiCon, Anime Masturi, AniMix, San Japan, AnimeFEST, and Realms Con. In terms of sci-fi conventions, I honestly don't know. Though, if I were to go to Texas someday, I think out of these choices, I would choose A-kon, UshiCon, and AnimeFEST. There's bound to be a website out there that lists all the sci-fi and renaissance faires for each state. Good luck in your search. :)
