i explained it earlier this summer thus: "What engagement is to marriage is what we are to dating" (I really got into analogies in high school, okay? so sue me). so i s'pose it makes sense that with the metaphorical "wedding" being less than a week away, i'm rather terrified of that for which i've been excitedly waiting, practically counting down

(and when it happens, i doubt terminology will be an issue. que sera sera mixed with the fact that i personally am /quite/ sick of explaining the whole "there's this guy -- but we're not actually dating yet!" bit... what a summer it's been!)

Well... it would be a "courtship dance", y'know. Of the sort that Phillip never did for Tina. So, if you guys are okay with just "dating" like commoners, rather than "courting" like a princess, there's no problem. :)

OH MY GOODNESS. Claire, now I really really am looking forward to talking to you again! a) I've just got to say, Luke's comment about the bird suit...quite over the top if you ask me...heh. Whatever that means. And b) once this girl at work decided to grill me in front of the whole office about my non-existant dating life. In the back of my mind, I was honestly thinking, boy, I'm glad I'm not Claire and have to explain *that* one...:-D Ha...I really do love you!
