I got a letter from Julianakin's school saying if he misses more school, I have to go to truancy court. If he misses after that, I’m charged with contempt of court. So now I have to see if I can get retro-active doctor’s notes from when he had pneumonia and poison oak to try and buy him a little cushion in case he gets sick again. I talked to ( Read more... )

attendance is a peculiar thing. IT is crucial in the fact that it helps provide continuity to a child's curricular activities as well as their daily routine, but it is also dubious in a way because school funding is gaged largely by their daily attendance. IT is odd. A school that has terrible discipline problems, mediocre test scores and excellent attendance can receive more funding that a school that has no discipline issues, very high test scores, but very poor attendance.
Have you ever considered the possibility of Home Schooling Julian? Or perhaps looking in to a private school and exploring grants and or scholorship money to send him to one?

screw those hillbillies. Get john Hinkle to call about possible harassment or other phanton lawsuits it'll take him 10 minutes to think of something that would torture the principal. Just like jesse make him think twice before he tries to screw with the oneals.
