why am i sitting here? why is it 3:48 am?!!! i just woke up, and now im like awake. im really scared cuz my lip is really swollen and sore. i dont know what to do. i dont wanna have to take my piercing out. ugh this sucks. i really hope its not infected or anything. i mean its been over 2 weeks now since i've had it pierced. shouldn't the swelling ( Read more... )

alright. I had horrible evil awful swelling problems, so I think I can help. First things first, are you wearing a ring, or a stud? If its a ring, that could be the problem. A ring can move around too much and cause iritation. If its a stud, does it have enough space? Is there a constant gap between your skin and the ball? (when I have mine, the studs were WAY to short. HORRIBLE swelling)

Ok. Cleaning. PLEASE tell me you arent using listerine. PLEASE tell me your usin alcohol free mouth was, like biotene or just salt water. If you arent, switch. Imediatly. No questions asked. BIOTENE IS GOD! Once, I used listerine for about two days when I ran out of biotene, and I got swolen, and developed hypertropic scars.

wow thanks sooooo much! im switching to biotene right away!! lol. i've been using listerine. and it is a ring. and i think you're right about the irritation. yesterday, it was being irritated cuz i was smoking a lot of weed. and i think it got moved around too much. well, thanks for your help!!!!

yeah, as long as you rince afterwards and have a joint to yourself, its pretty much OK. some people react badly to smoke though, so be carful. It didnt hurt mine any though...
