This Christmas certainly feels more quiet than last years, but of course, appearances are often deceptive, whether consciously so or otherwise. At any rate, the scientists are certainly feeling far less giving when compared to last year; I wonder whether it's related to choice or a result of inevitability ( Read more... )

If I remember correctly, the scientists gave us Christmas crackers. There were also stockings, but I'm not sure if they were given a little closer to Christmas.

I suppose that's true.

However, it leaves me wondering if I myself am a "gift." I arrived not too long ago, and I doubt anyone would really consider my presence to be a gift.

So, I must say, I agree that if it is the case, their choice was rather poor.
