You're getting a BJD, ooooh. I'd go with DOD dolls solely because they were the first BJD's I ever saw. Second was Leekeworld dolls, which I don't care much for. DOD make the most beautiful BJDs ever, I've had my eye on U[F] and Yen for soooo long. In fact, I don't care much for their female dolls on account of U and Yen are both male and if I had one or the either, he'd be a big ball jointed version of Parody. Hehehe, having a doll of him.. it was just meant to be.
I'll be honest, I don't like the BJDs with the HUGE lips, so I'm not so drawn to Sooah. But like you said, its up to you *nod*
I cant do DOD, because the one I want is out of stock. Sniff. Plus, she's $100 more. When I factor in that extra $, plus still needing a wig, clothes, shoes, etc... I thought it might be smarter to start with something a little less... I do love the DOD dolls *a lot* though. How do you feel about Soah's lips?
Yes...and I.blame.you. I didn't think too often about it...just sort of mulled the idea over in my mind. Enter your Savine. Darn you! Funnily enough - I didn't even realize she was a Shall until way later! Both have the option for sm/lg bust. I agree...and I've looked on DOA - but there aren't too many Soah or Sooahs there - and not on the Yahoo groups either (or maybe I don't like a lot of them)...and it is hard to imagine the face up of a totally different BJD on a Soah...so this is still my struggle! Caca on customs! So far I seem to be leaning towards Elfdoll (though I have no idea why). Thanks - that guide is quite helpful!!!
Oh gosh, did you have to post a picture of Sooah again? It is so hard to choose between those two adorable and beautiful girls! *sighs* I do love Sooah's lips though... ;)

For you I vote Soah because I think with the "mom link" you'd be more likely to bond with her.
For face ups, find some pictures of what you like. It's alot easier to work with if someone has reference pics. :)
other than that I dont know much about BJDs, but I can tell, natural is better. It's easier to add more makeup than it is to take off ^_^
