Once a pleasant science experiment
Tube tied to tube
Water swirling this way, then that
Is now a maelstrom

Endless depths of ocean, black as night
Churning darkness
The view scarcely further than hand's reach
Yet inexorably drawn

When did it change?

I confess that I am not very good at these to begin with. It's less poetry for me and more stream of consciousness. Prose? Something like that.
