It gives me a headache

Hi, my name is Siu and I am a chocoholic.

Oddly though, within the past couple weeks, I have been getting this (almost instantaneous) headache every time I have have chocolate. I googled it to see what it could possibly be and there are no clear answers. It really bothers me though, kind of strange.

Maybe that will be incentive to stop.

don't be all bent out of shape with the headaches you get from chocolate...it sounds like you have been cutting a lot of caffeine from your diet...when you indulge in chocolate, your body is reminded of the times when it was more a part of your diet. Caffeine is a drug all by itself. You have cut back on coffee...diet soda...and chocolate...what else is there for the caffeine fix you have been so used to.

it is just the withdrawal...like the shakes for an alcoholic or the cold sweats of a heroine addict.

This, too, shall pass.

You know, I read online and thought that could be it but the only conflict to that is, when I do have my occasional coffee (caffeine-full) or expresso drink, I don't get any headaches at all.

Any thoughts?

hmmm, well only thought I can offer on that one is that it would take a lot more chocolate to add the same amount of caffeine as one cup of coffee...the headache is just a little reminder...MORE CHOCOLATE...MORE CHOCOLATE:):):)
