So I've been thinking......

[ insert rude joke of your choice here ]

You know, I've been here for....a while now, but I've never tried out a gym fight! I mean, at first I was just trying to adjust and follow Quisty, and then I got all settled in Goldenrod....I guess I didn't have the time! [ Small laugh. It's not really funny, anyway. ]

But I don't ( Read more... )

Advice on earning badges in general, or did you have any specific ones in mind...?

Well...in general is what I meant, but I guess I should start with the first one, right?

Probably the best place to. That's Faulkner in Violet City; he uses the Flying-type, exclusively. Electricity, ice and rock attacks are all effective, and...

[ wait, he knows this. ]

Fighting isn't. Grass and Bug types aren't, either.

Hmm....electricity, ice, or rock? I don't know if I have any of those, but I'll be sure to catch one on the way!

Awesome! Beating gym leaders is one of the funnest things about Pokemon. It's a big accomplishment for you and your Pokemon too.

My main suggestion would be to figure out each gym leader's type specialty. They all got one, and if you have a Pokemon that's their type's weakness, you're pretty much golden.

That's what I've been hearing! It seems a little silly though, to have all of your Pokémon be one type...I guess they must like it a lot!

It just means I have to do a little sleuthing beforehand, that's all~

You gotta give 'em props at the same time though. If they can people people with just one type, that's a big accomplishment there.

They're pretty good at covering their weaknesses too. I think they'd be lame excuses for "leaders" if they didn't.

That's a really good point! I didn't think about it that way at all, but I guess you're right. That would take some skill.

Hey, yeah, it's about time! What've you been doing with yourself anyway? Gyms are pretty fun, though sometimes the leaders are dumb.

Um...I've mainly been relaxing and working in Goldenrod for a while, I guess. But my Pokémon have been getting antsy!

Are they really that dumb?

I finally got out of Goldenrod. I was there for, like, months. I'm in Olivine now. Leon's got a nice place set up!

But yeah, some of the gym leaders. Well, pretty much the loser in Goldenrod. She's the one that cries every time she loses, which is all the freakin' time! You'd think that she'd run out of tears or something eventually!

Goldenrod just seems to suck everyone in! I'm glad you were able to get out in time.

Hmm...I guess she just must be really sensitive! I can understand being a little upset, but crying is a bit overreacting....well, I guess she'll just have to cry one more time~

[ Yep, if it takes making a girl cry to win, she'll do it. ]
