My parents were middle-school sweethearts and they married, if you can believe that. Like six months after they graduated.
Of course, it isn't the most peaceful of marriages... after twenty-seven years, much general hollering, two episodes of infidelity and several chronic illnesses, they are still together. My sanity is just about gone, however.
If you're to marry, wait at least until your mid twenties; any earlier is asking for trouble. But it's not impossible to marry a high-school sweetheart.

the thing is, he always talks to *me* about getting married, but i'm really unsure about the whole thing.
your parents have been through a lot (and put you through a lot too, i can see...) on the positive side, i suppose you and they have learned from it.
one thing's for sure, i'm definetely NOT getting married in the near future.
