A tip: your starter Pokémon should prove valuable assets in the event you need to escape. Although Skarmory will need a special item to fly outside of a battle, Ponyta is a swift runner and already capable of providing transportation.

They are beautiful creatures. They're useful in caves as well. Their flames provide much better lighting than a flashlight or lantern.
