As far as your friends are concerned, they should be fine! The chances of them being yoinked here compared to all the other dimension peoples I've met makes it slim to none.

Heh. Well, really, I'm more worried about the hell I've left them in. I've kind of been forced to abandon them while we were in the middle of something really big and all.

I heard someone say that once this all boils over, the evil supercomputer zaps us back to the exact time and place it took us from if it works.

And I don't know how big your "really big" counts as, but I'm sure your friends will be fine!

Hmm. The way I heard it, they said it's possible that we might end up in the same time and place, or it's possible we'll end up in a time and place that's a bit off from where we were when we were snatched. Kind of like how this machine of theirs managed to snag 'wrong' versions of people, or more than one of a person.

Heh. Really big counds as, well, y'know ... a universal catastrophe.
