I actually just realized earlier I listened to your whole entry (link from RQ) and was going to ask if you're as old as your userinfo says that you are, why haven't you got your license before now? Or are there some crazy laws in NC that didn't allow it?

Anyway, your entry (maybe the voice thing helped) really just cracked me up. Especially that you went to a movie with your grandma and unlike most grandma's she ended up having this whole posse of old ladies. I'm sure that was a blast.

I..might add you? Yeah I dunno, I'm on a friend-making spree lately.

It's true. In less than a month, I will be turning 21. I don't have my license yet because I was just too lazy in high school to take any kind of driver's ed thing. It may sound weird, but I was so used to walking, that I didn't feel I really needed a license... yet. But now, reality has hit me, and I'm working for it.

The thing about my family that people find amusing is that we're not like most families. Yes, my grandmother does have a posse of some kind, and my grandmother and I are really close. In fact, I have been inducted as "in" the posse. Go me! The woman is great - I love her.

And go ahead and add me. I've been on a friend-making spree, myself. :) I'll add you back.

I'll be 21 in 6 months + 2 days, and I'll have been driving...hmm, almost 5 years by then. Now that seems absolutely crazy. I couldn't wait to drive back then and now I pretty much hate and avoid it at all costs.

I can understand the family thing, mine is fairly unique in itself. Mostly because it's so small (counting only my parents siblings and parents it's a grand total of 15 people). Anyway, I only have my grandma's on both sides. The one is 82-years old and the other who lives here in town is barely 70. They'ved coined and adopted the phrase "Recycled Teenagers." And I swear, my in-town grandma, between her bingo, cards, and bowling groups she goes out more than I do!

I've added you. :D Oh yes, and btw, I feel as though I should properly introduce myself: Hi, I'm Jen.

*waves* Hello, Jen. I'm Andrew, but you can call me Ezo, Bart, or just Andrew. Nice to meet you! I hope you enjoy the escapade that is my LiveJournal.

I only have one living grandparent, and that's my maternal grandmother. It used to be that only both of my grandmothers were alive, but my paternal grandmother passed away last year, around my 20th birthday. My last surviving grandmother and I have been though so much, that it makes sense that she and I have the relationship that we do. She's about 70, and she's one of my favorite people in the world.

But yeah, about the driving thing... yeah, I took things for granted, and now I don't have freedom that I should have. And I crave it so badly. :P
