Chuck Shelamer has passed away about an hour ago.

He was 52. He looked like Robert Redford and he was my friend. He and I were in choir together and now he is gone. He showed signs of a stroke on Tuesday, February 13, and over time swelling in his brain among other related problems caused his death. He was working on his PhD in choral conducting.

These two ladies are my ideal physical coloring types.  I love the contrast of light skin, dark hair, and light blue or green eyes.  The two women are Sarah Brightman, of Broadway and pop musical fame, and Amy Lee of Evanescense.  While Amy can be a bit too goth for my personal style I love how her hair contrasts with her skin and how her eyes pop ( Read more... )

I have rented a car for my trip to Ireland.  A Toyota Yaris.  Stick shift.  To be driven on the otherside of the road.

Do you find cards in either the International Student Card or the International Hosteling Association to be of any benefit?

I never used one in Italy.  When I was in Dublin and at the Guinness factory they took my University of Florida ID as proof of student ID.
