So, while I'm supposed to be using my time constructively, I found that I could not completely focus. Thus, the creation of this post...
So yeah, I've been doing a lot of thinking lately...thinking about the past that is. I've been feeling so nostalgic lately. I guess you could say that the past being the past is slowly sinking in now. There have been so many things that have changed from previous times. They can be simple things such as a long running television series ending, a book series ending with an epilogue to boot, or simply realizing that your favorite band from the boy band days is not going to get back together. They can even be more important things such as character traits changing, your old friends completely changing and being someone you never might have expected them to be, or something else. I guess there is more to this nostalgic side, but that will be explained later. On a random note, I realized that I want to go back to ice skating, back to before I just outright stopped skating, claiming I simply have no more time for it. Ice skating helped me to regain my calmness and composure. Lately, things have been especially crazy and stressful. I want to go back to the ice and feel the cool air on my face as I glide across the ice. Anyways, moving away from ice skating a bit, I logged on my FF.net account just a little while ago. I was surprised to see how many people were actually still reading my stories despite the fact that they have been in the FF.net archive for a while now. Whenever I looked through the site, I realize that in a way, a new group of writers have taken over. Some of the writers whose works I used to read just a couple of years ago have now gone on a hiatus (whether officially announced on their author's page, or simply have not updated in years). Some have even moved on from the "fanfiction writing stage" in their lives. In my case, it's not that I have simply moved on from writing fanfiction, it is just that I don't really have the time to work on my stories. In a slightly amusing twist, whenever I read something (anything really, a novel, a magazine, a textbook, a dictionary, a newspaper, etc.) I seem to come up with some kind of story inspiration. However, I am to busy to finish writing it out. I still love writing, I truly miss writing, but it seems that lately, there hasn't been enough time.
Well, it's late, or rather early I suppose, so I'm going to close up this entry for now. If anyone has any comments about this entry itself, fanfiction, etc. Just comment. Has anyone had this nostalgic feeling that you would want to share about? Anyways, like I mentioned, it's late, and I actually have something that I need to be working on, so I'm going to close up this entry for now. I'll try to write more later.
Until the next entry,
