Flawed experiments

Programmes like The Big Fat Truth About Low Fat Foods really annoy me because they are so flawed. Surely it should be obvious that going onto a "low fat" diet of diet ready-meals and snacks is going to make you feel worse than going onto a proper low-fat diet with lots of fruit and veg? And surely if you ever read the news you would know that ( Read more... )

The implication in a lot of these programmes is if you eat ready meals for dinner you somehow completely lack any basic nourishment, regardless of what else you eat during the day, which is just wrong and food snobbery :> One can get plenty of vitamins and minerals from healthy snacks/desserts/breakfast/tablets/bottles of wine or whatever, and putting on weight is probably more to do with lack of exercise (I gained more weight sitting at home eating quite healthy food than 2 years of living on cheesy chips and beer and walking up hills :p)

I didn't see the programme though, so maybe I just missed the point and I am just making judgements based on other things I've seen/heard from so-called food experts.
