Since Dick arrival at Wayne Manor, each new member of the family had suffered the tragedy of losing a parent/s and therefore it had become a tradition of including a few of the traditions held by their family at the manor.

I really like this idea, that every new member of the family gets to add a tradition to the day. It's such a wonderful metaphor for a created family. Oh, and I love that Alfred always gets to end with the "Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night!" Just right. :)

When I saw this prompt I had pictured in my head that with each new family member that on of their traditions would be included in their new family.
And with Alfred, it just seemed fitting to have him saying the last part.

I did love the tradition of incorporating family traditions into the whole, and the coziness of the family setting was wonderful. I'm a sap for stories about Christmas ornaments, anyway. ;)

Oh, this was so lovely! I loved seeing the Christmas celebrations at Wayne Manor, and all the mixed traditions that everyone had brought to it...

Thank you, it was a great story to write. I'm starting to really starting to enjoy these challenges and I love Christmas, so it was a good mix of the two.

Fills one with a warm, pleased feeling. Such a sweet slice of life, neatly bracketed by one asking the other to come to bed. A comfort sandwich, if you will.

I agree, I loved the idea of finishing the story with something similar to the beginning, it just seemed right. Comfort sandwich, love it. :D

It would be great to see photos of that, unfortunately I'm not that great with drawing people, It would be great to see though.
