You're a much braver person than I am. It sucks that you have to go through this. I hope it'll all be worth it in the end.

I have gotten glimpses of what you are going through. I won't insult you by saying "been there, done that" because I haven't and never want to. I do, on occaision get the joints in my foot (just under the toes) locked up tight, to the point where walking feels like the bones are grinding. There were times in grad school where I remember walking up a flight of stairs and saying a prayer, a real heartfelt prayer from my tarnished and apostate soul that I managed it painlessly, and it had been a long time since that happened.

I wonder if there was a way an orthopedist could take a laparoscope and go in and clean up some of that crappy scar tissue. It's not like it's doing you any favors being there.

Finally, if your spirit can manage it, take the sedative. Also, for God's sake if you hurt, cry. WTF else are tears for?

I'd give you a new foot if I could. I have always wanted to work with prosthetics. ^_^

Ughhh... I sympathize, even though I've never had it that bad with my ankle. *hugs* I hope what they're doing will help you, finally.
